Currently featuring: World of Warcraft priest guide information. Priests are the master of healing/shielding/resurrecting fallen comrades. Using a variety of damage over time, and direct damage spells, the priest also can do terrible terrible damage to his opponents. No other player in World of Warcraft has such a strong healing potential, and with a change of talents, such a high damage potential. The priest is a highly diverse and power class, always needed in any raid and capable of fulfilling multiple roles.

PvP or PvP the Priest class in World of Warcraft is a much desired class when played well. Knowing the efficiently of your spells, rate of heals, and casting times can be vastly beneficial to a healer. Most healers have a plethora of heals availalbe to them, but tend to use only a few of the most efficient ones. While learning the ins and outs of healing, learning mana efficiency of your heals vs other heals is of vital importance. In many dungeons in World of Warcraft, groups will likely engage new targets faster than your regular mana regeneration can handle. Mana conservation and using spells efficiently tend to be the biggest issues for any healer. Line of sight issues, casting ranges, in game fight mechanics and many other fine points of healing can really only be learned, and not taught. The more experience a healer gets, the better they tend to be. Reacting to situations that might be outside the norm and surviving tend to make good healers. The priest class is especially effective for healing due to their power ward shield ability, which will allow them a lot of breathing room when it comes to healing. The ability to cast a damage absorbing shield on an ally which then will heal them after it wears off can be invaluable. Keeping a HOT, (heal over time), on the shielded party member also can help top off their health while not additionally draining your mana. Using instant cast heals such as renew can be invaluable also when running. Shielding a target, and then casting renew while still running can be of great use, especially in pvp situations. Group heals, heals over time, shields, as well as greater heals which will fill up most of an allies health bar but tend to take more time, and mana to cast. Priests are the only healer to have a real deaggro in the form of fade. Whether specced healing or shadow, this ability can prove to be invaluable. Once fade ends however, the threat, (or aggro), that a player had beforehand will all return to them.

Shadow Priests bring the highest damage to the table of any priest build. Mind flay is an especially powerful weapon, not only dealing damage over time, but also slowing the targets movement speed 50%. Instant cast, although channeled, it can be using in conjunction with fear to deadly effect. Allow the priest the ability to "kite" both pve and pvp targets in small group situations. Many other spells are available to a shadow priest to maximize damage potential including mind blast, and shadow word pain. Vampiric touch and embrace also help greatly in group situations, allow groups to regain both mana and health faster. The ability to silence, fear, mind sear for aoe, and many other options are also available to a Shadow priest.
